Cup, coffee and saucer
Coffee cup and saucer, Midwinter 'Fashion' shapes, earthenware, the cup of a conical form with square, inset base, gently rounded sides and plain rim with angular loop handle, the saucer is square with rounded corners and edges, a low foot ring and gently curving sides with no discernible rim, square well; the cup is decorated on the exterior and handle with a matt black glaze, the saucer is transfer-printed with the 'Driftdown' pattern, which comprises randomly placed, feathery star motifs in a sketchy style, printed in grey and black.
