Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Measuring tape

A small circular measuring tape made from tin. According to the inscription on the measuring tape, it belonged to a Griffith Davies who worked at the ‘Quarry Offices’, Llanberis, possibly Dinorwig Quarry offices. The date 1884 is also inscribed on the measuring tape, suggesting it was used during the late 19th century.
