The first Cardiff Lesbian and Gay Mardi Gras was held in 1999. Later changing its name to Cardiff Wales Lesbian and Gay Mardi Gras, and then Cardiff Wales LGBT Mardi Gras. In 2014 it changed its name to Pride Cymru.
