Cup and saucer

Cup and saucer, soft-paste porcelain; cup standing on a rounded foot rim, London shape and curvaceous ogee handle; saucer with a rounded foot rim and curved spreading sides; painted with set pattern 486, - a wide underglaze blue band, the cup with two octagonal reserves, one of a bird perched on a tree, the other with a spray of flowers, between large gilt foliate scrolls and tendrils; the saucer with three reserves, two with perched birds and one with a flower spray; gilt arcaded border below with anthemion pendants; underglaze blue and gilt medallion in the centre; gilt handle, and gilt bands to foot rim and cup and saucer lip.
