Sucrier with cover

Sucrier, soft-paste porcelain, standing on a short foot rim with curving sides, bulb shaped at base flaring into convex curve at rim, short flat rim to cover and gently curving lid with a knob of oval profile and circular cross section from above and a pointed tip; deep blue ground with a yeux de perdix design superimposed in gilt, circular white reserves linked together with swathes on both sucrier and cover, cameo heads within a chocolate oval background and weaponry painted in enamels alternate in the reserves, laurel leaf borders to reserves painted in green and red enamels and an additional laurel leaf design creating a continuous swathe around sucrier and cover circumference, laurel leaf border to knob, a gild band to foot rim, cover rim and a gilt dentil edge on inside of rim, the handles are touched in gilt; glazed
