Photograph captioned 'Glyn Pits, Pontypool, Monmouthshire. The decorative cast iron pillars of a winding engine on a site which provides examples of the early use of steam at a colliery. The engine house is dated 1845 and this and another engine were made at the famous Neath Abbey engineering works.' Mounted on card. Made for the exhibition RECORDING WALES 3 in 1970/1971.
