Butter-dish and cover

Butter dish, hard-paste porcelain, shallow cylindrical form, domed cover with finial; decorated in the 'decor bois' style with the exterior sides of the dish and the top of the cover painted to resemble wooden boards and to either side of the dish two rectangular panes painted to resemble engravings tacked to the boards showing landscapes in black monochrome in oval frames, around the top of the dish and the rim of the cover are borders of blue and white ovals on a black band.
