unknown ()

Photograph at top of page 86 of machinery, workers and hut. Handwritten, in ink, to right of print, " Aug 9 1919. Park Farm Quarry".

Classifier and boom stacker at Park Farm Ironstone Quarry. The traction engine in the foreground suggests the machine may have been newly delivered and be in the final stages of assembly, or undergoing major repairs/fitting of new components. Probably looking south-west. 9 August 1919.

Sketch showing the Hook Norton Ironstone Quarries and the Calcining Kilns drawn by Robert Protheroe Jones, based on 1920 OS 1/10560, in related material file.
