Hard cover sketch book with plain pages and buff cloth coloured boards; contains notes and sketches made by David Thomas, later tailor of Cross Inn, when an apprentice student at the Tailor and Cutter Academy in London, 1915. Includes pen and ink pattern draughts and notes concerning making up for items of military dress, including patrol jacket, tunics, highland doublet, great coats, trousers, mess dress. Also includes rank cuffs and a sketch of officer in breeches and full colour Union Jack, and also sketches of an admiral and various navy cuffs, all painted in water colour.
