Rogers, Terry F.J. (Born in 1922, Newport. Served in the Royal Navy on the Atlantic & Arctic convoys during the Second World War. After war became a painter and decorator. Gave that up in the mid 1970s due to illness and became an artist. At first painting ships he was familiar with, especially Newport ships, and later moving onto sailing vessels.)
Portrait of iron barque in full sail. Signed bottom left. Undated. Framed.
The LADY WOLSELY was built in Sunderland in 1884 for Beyon. Iron barque 1238 tons. Registered Newport. Welsh owned sailing vessel.
