Coal miner, Phillip Leonard Pritchard drinking in his local pub, the New Inn Hotel, Ton Pentre, on the way home from his shift. Phillip Pritchard served in the 11th Battalion Rifle Brigade, and died in January 1917 of wounds sustained in the Battle of the Somme. The landlord was John Edward Morris.
