Jug, cider

Cider jug, relatively coarse red earthenware, flat base with beaded edge, globular body and short cylindrical neck with ridge 0.8 cm beneath, simple flattened rim, strap handle running from the neck to mid body, tapering to a rounded point at body; decorated with a thick brown glaze and thin trails of cream coloured slip forming, at the shoulder, a wavy line with dots situated between two parallel bands beneath and three parallel bands above, the neck with a band of crescents with plain band above.
