H.M.S. MONTAGUE. Built at Devonport Dockyard, and launched in 1901. She was wrecked off Lundy on 30 May 1906. Attempts by the Navy to rescue her ended in chaos. The Navy officially abandoned her in 1907 after removing the valuable guns, and she was then handed over to private salvage companies.
