Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Cup, soft-paste porcelain, inset base, cylindrical sides, ear-shaped handle; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the front of the exterior body a view of a bird in a landscape, scattered floral sprigs around the rest of the exterior body, around the upper and lower body borders of blue zig-zags interlaced with gilt festoons, a gilt line around the foot-rim, a worn gilt dentil edge to the lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, inset base, flaring sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to the centre of the well a view of a bird in a landscape, the view enclosed by a border of blue zig-zags interlaced with gilt festoons, a similar border to the rim with scattered floral sprigs around the sides of the well, a worn gilt edge to the rim.
