Plate

Plate, soft-paste porcelain, with a slight yellowish tinge, standing on a tapering foot rim, spreading sides; the rim moulded in six large and six small lobes; painted in the centre with a chinoiserie style carp in orange and pink, above a patch of pale blue water, surrounded by foliage and stylised pink flowers; the rim painted with insects and floral sprigs in iron red; chocolate banding to outer rim and gilt detailing to decoration.
