Sucrier with cover

Sucrier and cover, rectangular, soft-paste soaprock porcelain; standing on a straight sided foot rim curving into bulging sides to shoulder, concave curve to lip; two vertically placed, rectangular loop handles; flat-topped plateau cover with an octagonal pointed and ridged finial; painted in sepia and olive enamels, on both sides of body and cover with landscape vignettes - the sucrier with a view of a cottage with low hills in the distance, and a view of a tower-like building on rolling hills amongst trees; the cover also with a view of a cottage, and a view of a castle; gilt leaf border to collar, gilt detail to handles and finial, and gilt rims.
