Private m.v. ARONIA (193gt) : Built 1933 at Copenhagen for Jack Billmeir of the Stanhope Steamship Co. Ltd., and powered by twin B&W six-cylinder diesel engines. She was requisitioned by the Navy for minesweeping duties at Sheerness during WW2 and took part in the Dunkirk evacuation. She was laid up for many years at Southwick, Essex. 1963 – Sold on the death of Billmeir, and re-engined. Laid up at Harburg in 1979. Fate as yet unknown.
