S.S. FORT KOOTENAY (7133gt). North Sands type built August 1942 by Burrard Dry Dock Co., North Vancouver for MoWT (managed by John Morrison & Son, Newcastle. 1947 – Returned to US Maritime Commission. 1948 – Sold to Navigazione “Alta Italia” Soc., Genoa, and renamed MONGIOIA. 1950 – converted to steam turbines with oil firing. 1966 – Sold to Astra Carriers Corporation, Monrovia, and renamed MONTJORGE. 1966 – renamed SEGRE (under the same ownership). 1967 – Broken up at La Spezia, Italy.
