Sucrier with cover

Sucrier, hybrid-paste porcelain, circular form, curving waved sides with foliate moulding around the lower body, to either side of the body twin twig handles, domed cover also with waved sides, a large flower finial to the top of the cover, surrounded by foliate moulding; painted in polychrome enamels and gilt with a Chinese-style 'a ponticello' decoration, around the sides of the sucrier and the cover a motif with a bridge over water and a house in a tree, around the rims of the sucrier and cover a border in red, blue and gilt, the finial painted in red, green and yellow, the handles painted in shades of pink and yellow.
