Cup, two-handled and saucer

Cup, soft-paste porcelain, with a short foot rim, concave curving sides at base straightening into vertical at rim, and two rococo style moulded handles; lower half of cup is decorated with pinecone moulding and painted in pink and green enamel with gilt, the upper part has a mazarine blue underglaze decorated with insects in gilt with etched detail, a gilt band around foot rim and dentil edge around rim with the handles touched in gilt; glazed. Saucer, soft paste porcelain, short foot rim and curving concave sides with a shallow trembleuse gallery around well; pine cone moulding around inner section of saucer painted in pink and green enamel with gilt, the rest has an underglaze blue ground decorated in gilt with insects and etched detail, a gilt design in well and dentil edge on rim; glazed.
