Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Early Medieval lead weight

Disc shaped lead weight with flat parallel surfaces. Not perfectly circular.

Viking lead weight for weighing silver.

The lead weights found at Llanbedr-goch show that people there were heavily involved in trade around the Irish Sea and beyond. Traders bartered or exchanged goods, or paid mainly in silver by weight.
