Sugar bowl and cover, hard-paste porcelain, inverted bell-shape with straight sides that angle in toward a narrow base on a circular pedestal foot, each side is moulded with a handle in the shape of a diamond, domed cover with a ball finial; the rims of the bowl and the cover and the edges of the foot and the base are banded with a gilt line border, the top half of the finial is gilded, painted with birds perching on gold branches.
