Looped, with a rectangular socket, mouth moulding, and a second faint moulding on a level with the top of the loop. Of Breton type. Cast in a different mould to the axe under 43.221/1.

Notes: Found in the corner of a field close to the Monmouth-Chepstow road approximately 2km from Tintern Abbey.
