Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Early Medieval iron mount

Decorative circular iron mount with convex upper surface. Decoration on the upper surface consists of cells filled with either red or yellow enamel forming a stepped pattern around a cetnral equal-armed cross. Thought to be of Celtic/Irish tradition. On the back there is a centrally-placed pierced lug.
