Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Jug, pale cream-coloured earthenware with a very soft greenish tinge to the glaze, inset base within a flattened-off foot-rim, bulbous body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, groovd loop handle; transfer-printed in sepia with to one side of the exterior body an oval panel containing a portrait of Lord Nelson and surrounded by the inscription "England Expects that every Man will do his Duty. / And we will have Twenty / LORD NELSON" with ships, stars and a spray of foliage, to the other side a design of masonic symbols with below the inscription "Friendship is love...etc", the front of the exterior body painted with a stylized floral spray in chocolate brown enamel, chocolate bands around the exterior neck and spout, a decorated mid-brown band around the middle of the exterior neck. Cracks to the spout, the lip-rim chipped.
