Sucrier with cover, rectangular, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain; standing on a rectangular foot rim with curved corners, curved sides to shoulder, concave curve to lip; small vertical loop handles either end; raised cover with flat top, and grooved, octagonal pointed finial; painted with set pattern 221 - an Empire style pattern of scrolling feathery fronds and foliage in puce and gilt, with a continuous wreath of stylised gilt leaves around shoulder; plain gilt bands to foot rim, shoulder, lip, and handles.
