Saucer, porcelain, foot ring, curved profile; eight-point star in blue enamel and gold in the centre enclosing 'AJ' in monogram in gold, gold and blue enamel lines round the rim.

This saucer is part of a group of porcelain tea and coffee wares commissioned in China by Captain John Jones. Jones served as a captain in the East India Company from 1790 to approximately 1801.
