Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, London shape, oblong form with slightly flaring foot-rim, bulbous sides, prominent shoulder, curving spout, high square shouldered handle, oblong domed cover with oblong finial; transfer-printed in underglaze blue with to either side of the body the 'Pagoda' pattern, an oriental-style pattern with pagodas and islands, the two prints are mirror images of each other, around the shoulder and the sides of the cover a 'Fitzhugh-type' border of interlinked cell motifs, scrolls and moths, a cell-like design to the finial, floral designs to the spout and handle.
