Jug

Jug, tin-glazed earthenware, pale orange body with ?grog inclusions of varying sizes and density, idiosyncratically potted, slightly inset base with indistinct foot ring, cup shaped body with uneven opening, deep, hand-formed triangular spout with flattened ridge at centre front, angular strap handle attached beneath rim and running to the base, single applied band or ridge down its length; thick, unevenly applied grey-blue tin glaze to exterior, with large drips to interior rim and spout, the interior with clear glaze only.
