Spode (W. T. Copeland & Sons Ltd) (Founded 1770 Bought by W. T Copeland in 1833 Reverted to Spode name after using Copeland in 1970 Merged with Royal Worcester in 1978)

Teapot and cover, cream coloured earthenware with slightly bluish glaze, simple Utility shape comprising a foot ring, short squat body with short curved spout with integral strainer, angled loop handle and short upright neck or collar, the cover is inset and has an integral spout and strainer cover, the cover is sunk and has a short, round knop level with the top edge of the cover; the only embellishment is a wide, ridged band running around the body.
