Newspaper article 'Straight and gay unite to boost Pride by 160,000' from The Observer, 25 June 1995. Includes quote from Jeremy Philpott, 25, from Cardiff who stated "It may be a celebration, but the simple act of being here is a political statement".

Russ Harris was part of this group attending London Pride and recalls "being fuelled by rum punch on the way to London, then joining hundreds of LGBTQ+ revellers and their supporters for a march through central London, ending at Clapham Common. The atmosphere was so positive, and the day morphed into evening. We managed to miss the minibus back to Swansea, and seven of us shared a room in a run down hotel, catching the train back the following morning…we were young!"
