Cup, coffee and saucer

Coffee cup, hard-paste porcelain with white tin-glaze, short foot-rim and high sides, twisted handle with foliate moulding at the terminals; the exterior covered all over with a gros-bleu ground against which is reserved to the front of the cup an oval panel painted with a landscape in puce monochrome, gilt borders around the edge of the panel, the foot-rim and the lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Saucer, hard-paste porcelain with white tin-glaze, short foot-rim and curving sides; the sides of the well covered with a gros-bleu ground against which is reserved to the well a round panel painted with a landscape in puce monochrome, gilt borders around the edge of the panel and the rim.
