Jug, coffee, and cover

Coffee jug, hard-paste porcelain, bulbous pear-shaped form, standing on three elaborate scrolled feet, beak spout with moulded scrolls to the underside, scrolled handle with foliate-moulded thumb-spur, domed cover with finial in the form of an apple; finely painted in a puce monochrome with to the front of the jug a landscape with classical masonry and four figures in eighteeth-century costume, scattered floral sprigs around the rest of the jug, to the cover a smaller landscape with two seated figures and further floral figures, the feet, spout and handle picked out in gilt, gilt lines around the rims of the jug and cover, the finial painted in shades of orange and green.
