Asparagus server, earthenware, flat tapering base with two parallel vertical sides curving outwards at the top; transfer-printed in blue with to the base a chinoiserie with a pagoda in an oriental landscape, along the top of both sides an elaborate border with scrollwork, moths and wheel-motifs against diaper- and cell-pattern grounds.
