Haulier and Mate, Tynybedw Colliery. William Fynn and his young "butty" pose for a studio photograph in their working outfits. The harness was traditional and held the pin which connected the "shaft" on the horse to the "gun" attached to the tram. The scarf of the senior has the traditional haulier's knot.
