S.S. BRISTOL CITY (7067gt). Built 1943 as EMPIRE NIGEL by William Gray & Co Ltd., West Hartlepool, for MoWT. 1944 – Assigned to U.S.S.R. on lease lend and renamed ARCHANGEL initially, then ARCHANGELSK. 1946 – Returned to UK Ministry of Transport and renamed EMPIRE NIGEL. 1947 – Sold to W & R Carpenter, Suva, and renamed NANDI. 1948 – Sold to Bristol City Line, Bristol, and renamed BRISTOL CITY. 1957 – Sold to Splosna Plovidba, Yugoslavia, and renamed ZELENGORA. 1971 – Sold to Cia de Nav Portland, Panama, and renamed TARAS. She was broken up at Split in 1972.
