T.S. KING GEORGE V about to enter dry dock, possibly Cardiff.

T.S. KING GEORGE V. The first passenger turbine driven steamer ship built in 1926. C.H. Bailey purchased the ship with the intention of converting it into a restaurant and was moored in the Mountstuart dry dock 1980-1983. A fire in 1984 ended her days and she was cut up at Cardiff in 1984.

Terence Soames (Cardiff) Ltd were based at 22 Dumfries Place, Cardiff and moved to St John’s Chambers, High Street Arcade, in 1962. Michael Woodward became the director in 1991 and is credited as the photographer in some later images by the company.
