Cup, coffee and saucer

Coffee cup, soft-paste porcelain, straight flaring sides and angular handle; the exterior sides covered with a deep blue ground and decorated in gilt with to the front of the body a landscape with a stork-like bird enclosed by an elaborate rococo border, two further birds to either sides of the handle, gilt lines around the foot-rim, lip-rim and handle. Saucer, soft-paste porcelain, inset base and straight flaring sides; the upperside covered with a deep blue ground and decorated with gilt with to either side of the well a bird enclosed by an elaborate rococo border, two small insects to the sides of the well between these two panels, a small sprig to the centre of the well, a gilt line around the rim.
