Rail from Llanwrst Mine

Two pieces of steel rail from Llanwrst Mine (formerly Great Consuls Mine) c.1875.

Mr P.A.S. Gray, Manager, Parc Mine, Llanwrst in his letter 2nd April, 1951 says "... The complete rails were about 14 feet long and consisted of a flat steel bar on edge with small angle cleets at each end for spiking the rail to wooden sleepers."
