Bronze Age Gold from Wales
Cable
Four sections of armoured cable. ‘Positive’ and ‘negative’ current was carried between the main DC control panel (2008.59/2) and the overhead system via two lengths of armoured cable, one ‘positive’ and one ‘negative’ (there are now a total of four sections of armoured cable - two sections of ‘positive’ armoured cable, and two sections of ‘negative’ armoured cable - as the cables had to be cut for transportation purpose). The two sections connected to the main DC control panel are approx 3 meters in length, and have brass connecting lugs on the end. The two cables are partly covered in cloth, and partly covered in rubber heat shrink sleeving. The two sections connected to the overhead pole are approx 2 meters in length, and are partly covered by cloth. These also have brass lugs on the end.
