Cup and cover, soft-paste porcelain, circular bowl with plain, slightly flaring rim, undulating profile with a rounded ogee on the lower third of the body, flaring foot rim with flattened bottom edge, raised base, the bowl has two terminal figure handles and the cover has a finial in the form of a stylised leaf; the finial and handles are partly gilt and bands of gilt are present around the base of the finial, the flange of the cover, and the belly and foot rim of the basin, the cover and upper two thirds of the basin are painted with configurations of garden and wild flowers including dog rose, wild strawberry, forget-me-nots and foxgloves.
