FRYE, Thomas (1710-1762)

Born in Ireland, Frye was working as a portraitist and mezzotint engraver in London by 1735. He managed the Bow porcelain factory, whch he helped found, from 1745-59, when he returned to portrait painting. This portrait is said to have been dated 1745.
