Pot, chocolate and cover

Chocolate pot, hard-paste porcelain, cylindrical form with a curving shoulder with an impressed basket-moulded border transected by ten ribs, curving spout with moulding around the base, from one side of the body at rightangles to the spout issues a long horizontal handle, the lower part in porcelain with shell-like moulding around it, the upper part in turned wood, the cover with basket-moulded border around the rim and a central aperture to allow the contents of the pot to be stirred, the cover fitted with brass mounts including a moveable handle and a moveable escutcheon to cover the central aperture; the pot and cover decorated with scattered Angoulême sprigs in blue, pink and green enamels, the spout and handle of the pot picked out in blue with blue lines around the shoulder and cover.
