Newspaper cutting

A newspaper cutting about the death of Mr Eric Lyall, a steward, at Dinorwig Quarry - the last person to be killed in an accident at Dinorwig Quarry (on the 8th September 1966). The newspaper cutting records the fact the Mr Lyall fell 120 feet whilst trying to dislodge a large boulder, and as a result fractured his skull. Mr Owen William Humphreys (donor’s father) is praised for risking his own life by trying to save Mr Lyall. Mr Owen William Humphreys was also a steward at Dinorwig Quarry.
