Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Detonator case

Yellow "Thistle Brand" No. 6 detonator box. The box contained 100 detonators of the type used at slate quarries. Men usually purchased ten or a dozen individual detonators at a time (they cost 1d each in 1940's), and the boxes were stored in the detonator hut, well away from other explosives. For this reason boxes such as this were unusual sights.
