Bronze Age Gold from Wales

Wagon

A narrow gauge (1' 11½") iron wagon, for carrying slates or coal, used on the Croesor tramway. Wagon consists of a rectangular box, fitted on to two axles, each with two single flanged wheels of fixed gauge. Axles are held in place by enclosed axles boxes, each with a hinged flap for greasing. Box has metal loops attached at each corner, for horse haulage (one is presently missing).
