Sucrier, and stand, soft-paste porcelain; rectangular form, standing on a flared moulded foot, bulging sides to shoulder, rounded everted shoulder ridge curving into a raised concave collar; scroll and spurred loop handles; raised cover with rosebud finial; stand, rectangular with rounded corners, on a straight sided foot rim curving into rounded sides with a straight everted lip; painted with set pattern 216, an Imari influenced design in underglaze blue, iron red, and gilt, with red stylised flowers, green and blue foliage, and pink butterflies; underglaze blue border to collar with gilt stars, and banded with gilt lines; handles and finial high-lighted with gilt, and gilt bands to foot rim, collar, and lip.
