Plate, opaque white (lattimo) glass, rim plain, the well painted with a circular view in iron-red enamel filling the whole surface within double red lines, and depicting the Grand Canal, Venice, looking north near the Rialto Bridge, left the Fabbriche Nuove di Rialto, with gondolas and barges before it, right the angle of a courtyard with the Ca' de Mosto and the campanile of the SS Apostoli, Source is Antonio Visentini Prospectus Magni Canalis Venetani -- Pictis ab Antonio Canale (in Aedibus Josephi Smith Angli 1735 no XI...Original oil painted for Smilth c.1730 and now in Royal Collection, Windsor.
