EDRIDGE, Henry (Draughtsman, miniaturist and landscape painter. Pupil of the engraver and miniaturist Wm.Pether. In 1784 became a student of the R.A. and in 1786 won the silver medal. He exhibited miniatures at the R.A. from 1786. He acquired his landscape style from the study of Hearne. Visited France in 1817 and 1819, made drawings of Paris & towns in Normandy; some of these he exhibited at the R.A. in 1820, in which year he was elected A.R.A. A friend of Hearne Farrington and Dr.Monro.)
