Cup, tea and saucer

Teacup and saucer, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain with a yellowish-green translucency; cup standing on a rounded foot rim, London shape, with a curvaceous ogee handle; saucer standing on a rounded foot rim, curved spreading sides; both transfer printed in pale sepia enamel with an arrangement of shells on a bed of seaweed; gilt bands to foot rim, lip, and inner gilt line; gilt leaf to the handle.
